LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Virginia Law Enforcement Sheriffs (“VLES”) hosted their first annual New Sheriff’s School with resounding success. The conference, held November 19-20 in Lynchburg, Virginia, played host to 11 newly elected sheriffs and their offices and featured over 25 hours of training specific to the duties of the coveted Constitutional office.

KVCF Solutions Managing Director, Steve Baril, addressed the new sheriffs and VLES board members over lunch to review the 2019 General Assembly session and outline the ways and means VLES will implore during the 2020 session to establish a livable wage for deputy sheriffs across the Commonwealth. Other notable speakers and presenters include Colonel Gary Settle of Virginia State Police, Shannon Dion of the Department of Criminal Justice Services, and featured a raffle for a special edition Glock pistol.
