(Richmond, VA) – Virginia House of Delegates Speaker Kirk Cox (R-Colonial Heights) announced today that the House will reconvene May 30th at 2pm, following the Senate’s return May 29th. At issue, the Commonwealth’s FY19-20 budget and the full legislature’s stance on whether or not to expand Virginia’s Medicaid program. On April 17th, the House passed a budget inclusive of Medicaid expansion, while the Senate has yet to finalize its spending plan.
