The Heavy Construction Contractors Association (“HCCA”) is a nonprofit, trade organization comprised of infrastructure and site development contractors, engineering firms, and related businesses that work to create a positive impact on the Commonwealth’s critical infrastructure and economy. Collectively, HCCA (1) represents the interests of over 170 businesses, most of which are headquartered in or around Northern Virginia, (2) employ approximately 40,000 Virginians, and (3) pay over $1.5 billion salaries and wages each year. HCCA members and leaders descended on the Capitol on March 1st for their annual lobby day, where they met with the Secretary of Transportation (transportation infrastructure funding), Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade (workforce development), as well as members of the House and Senate Transportation Committees.
