CannabisVA is a newly formed Virginia trade association. Its mission is to promote and advance the economic development of medical cannabis and cannabidiol (“CBD”) for medicinal and pharmaceutical uses, and to encourage a favorable and responsible business environment for pharma-related cannabis activities in Virginia among the legislative and regulatory bodies, industry participants and the interested public.

(Richmond, VA) – On March 7, 2018, the Virginia Smoke Free Association, representing vapor industry retailers and manufacturers from across the Commonwealth, held its annual legislative day alongside legislative counsel KVCF Solutions. The Association met with a large, bipartisan group of lawmakers to discuss issues of importance to the industry. Those topics included the differentiation of vapor products from traditional tobacco products, youth access prevention, smoking cessation, and small business development.

Representing over 39,000 employees in Northern Virginia, the Association met with a large, bipartisan group of lawmakers to discuss issues central to its mission and a vibrant statewide transportation network. Those topics included workforce development, sustainable funding, and overall transportation planning.
